Cheyenne Frontier Days Names New Committee Leaders
Cheyenne Frontier Days has named its new committee chairs for the 127th Daddy of 'em All.
That's according to a CFD Friday morning news release.
The new chair of the Concessions Committee is Woody Acord, a Senior IT Analyst, Acord has a BS degree in management and has volunteered on the concessions committee for 23 years. He was named Volunteer of the Year in 2002 and was inducted into the HEELS in 2012. Acord will follow Brad Westby as concessions chair.
The new chair of the Military Committee is Col. John F. Hundley, Vice Commander of the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren AFB. Hundley has two MS degrees and a BS degree in criminal justice and has served on the CFD Military Committee. He replaces Col. Dean R. Konowicz as Military Chair.
The new Parades Chair is James Van Cise, who replaces Ruthanne Hubbard in that role. Van Cise has been Facilities Manager at the U.S.A.F. Base Hospital and the Laramie County Library for 17 years. Van Cise has been a CFD Parades Volunteer for 24 years and a Lead Assistant for 5 years.
The release goes on to say:
"Following Chad Mathews as Rodeo Chairman is Jason Bain. He is the Operation Partner at KLC Automotive Equipment. Bain has been a volunteer on the Rodeo Committee since 2008 where he has been a Committee Lead for 5 years. He was selected as Rodeo Committee Volunteer of the Year in 2015 and inducted into the HEELS in 2018.
The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee has begun the planning process for 2023 by reviewing the results of the 2022 event."
