Homecoming Week Leads to Busy Time on UW Campus [VIDEO]
It’s Homecoming week at the University of Wyoming, and there are numerous activities and gatherings for alums and the public to enjoy through the week.
Some things, like the Big Event, have come and gone, but Friday and Saturday will be the two biggest days.
The Homecoming Sing presented by Iron Skull is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Buchanan Center for Performing Arts. The annual Car Push will be 5 p.m. Thursday at War Memorial Stadium. The annual Homecoming Dance for students is at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Yellowstone Ballroom at the Wyoming Union.
Friday features many of the ‘colleges’ hosting open houses or receptions for alumni, plus Distinguished Alumni will be honored that day. Saturday begins with the annual parade at 8 a.m. The route starts at 9th Street and Ivinson Avenue and finishes at Grand Ave and 14th Street. Plus, there’s Cowboy Coffee at the Gateway Center, tailgating, and of course, the football game at 12:30 p.m.
University of Wyoming Alumni Association Executive Director Keener Fry joined host David Settle during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show Tuesday to talk about what’s going on this week.
