Jewel and Ty Murray are Brand New Parents

The couple have welcomed a baby boy to their family.  And we might be looking at a very talented "Singing Cowboy" in the future.

Young Kade Townes Murray was born July 11. 

The couple are reportedly overjoyed with the birth of their very first child.  And the Associated Press reports that they are "overcome with happiness"  Ty and Jewel are also quoted as saying "it really is as great as everyone told us it would be - better even!"

Jewel released her last album, "Lullaby" in 2009.  She will release another album of original children's music, "The Merry Goes 'Round" in August.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Murray.  And I hope the boy makes them both proud.
