Laramie has once again been ranked highly on a list of the best college and university communities in the country.

This time, Laramie is at the top of the list.

College Values Online ranked Laramie number one on their list “50 Best Small College Towns in America.”  In determining its rankings, the website took several factors into account.  These included cost of living, unemployment rate, crime rate, and “wow factor.”

Laramie’s Recreation Center and numerous city parks certainly caught the reviewers’ attention.

“It is also a great place for sightseeing; the Highway 130 corridor which crosses Snowy Range has been designated a National Scenic Byway,” says College Values Online.  “In addition to beautiful scenery, Laramie has impressively low crime and unemployment rates.”

The top five leading up to Laramie’s number one spot are Corvallis, Ore.; Chapel Hill, N.C.; Normal, Ill.; and Manhattan, Kan.  Laramie is ranked by AreaVibes.com as the fourth most livable place in Wyoming.  In addition, WalletHub.com ranked Laramie number six on its list of “2014’s Best & Worst College Cities & Towns in America.”
