Several Laramie residents gathered at the Albany County Courthouse last Thursday (November 8) evening to protest the controversial firing of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The protest came together through MoveOn, and was one of many across the state and the nation. Protester Tracey Rosenlund said that she received an email last summer from the website asking for an RSVP to the protest in the event that Sessions was fired. Last week's protest, and those like it nationwide, were part of a series of pre-organized events that were put together almost immediately after the firing of Sessions on November 7.

While marching, protesters held signs marked with phrases including "No one trumps the law" and "Protect Mueller".

"We need to put pressure on these Republicans in office" said protester Barbara Smith.
