Laramie’s annual holiday parade and tree lighting is set for this Friday, Dec. 7. This year will be Elf on a Shelf themed.

The festivities will kick off with a kids' movie at 5:30 p.m. hosted by the City of Laramie Parks Division. Hot cocoa will be provided by Lasso and the Laramie soup kitchen.

The tree lighting will be from 5:50 to 6:10 p.m. accompanied by caroling. The carols will be by choirs from Indian Paint Brush Elementary and Laramie High School.

More singalongs will happen at Saint Matthews Cathedral on 4th St. after the parade.

The parade will make its way to First Street Plaza at 6:15 p.m. The planned route is south on Second, West on University (right), South on First (left), East on Garfield (left) and North on Second (left).
