Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts because below freezing temperatures are expected to return to southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle by midweek.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne says increasing clouds late Tuesday will be the precursor to a quick-moving weather system that passes through the area Wednesday.

"Cold temperatures can be expected on Wednesday, with the opportunity for light snowfall accumulations to occur in the Pine Ridge areas of the northern Nebraska Panhandle," the agency said.

Forecasters say there's still some uncertainty where exactly the snow will fall, but they don't expect any major weather-related impacts.
