The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is telling illegal drug dealers that the agency will be happy to send a deputy to their home to test the quality of their, ahem, err, umm merchandise using "expensive spectrometer things."

A 50-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced by a U.S. District Court Judge to 140 months in prison on drug trafficking and other charges.
That's according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney for Wyoming, Nicholas Vassallo. According to court records in the case, in July of 2022, law enforcement saw Grady Peoples visiting a number of places where illegal drug activity was known to be taking
The case dates back to February 14, 2021, when Rock Springs Police tried to stop 51-year-old Spencer Cottrell. Cottrell tried to get away when police activated their lights, but he crashed his truck into a snowbank.
