This Laramie Craft Beer Scavenger Hunt Is The Stuff Of Dreams
This week is American Craft Beer Week, and in celebration, all of your favorite microbreweries in Laramie have partnered together to give you the best scavenger hunt since you were a school kid. This Saturday, May 19th, you can form a team and crawl across Laramie, taking photos, completing tasks, and of course, drinking local craft beer.
Chris Downs, an assistant manager at Altitudes Chop House and Brewery says that each year they try to one-up their events from the last year, and this may be the biggest celebration yet.
"Every year for American Craft Beer Week, we always like to do a lot of events," Downs said, "This year we decided we wanted to do a scavenger hunt pub crawl of sorts." Each of the locations featured in the scavenger hunt either has a brewery attached to it, or features local beers regularly, and that's the real objective of this event- celebrating local craft beers and the establishments that bring them to life.
Participating in the scavenger hunt are local favorites like Altitudes, Lovejoy's, Coal Creek Tap, O'Dwyers Public House, The Library, and the Crowbar, and new businesses to Laramie like Speedgoat and Rib & Chop House. Prizes will be given out for participation, with a special prize package for the winning team.
The scavenger hunt will take place on Saturday, May 19th beginning at 3 pm, but you will want to get registered before hand either by e-mailing Chris, or calling (307) 721-4031.
