Two Brothers From Wyoming Win Trophy Buckles At Junior NFR
Two brothers from Jackson, Wyoming have some new hardware to add to their collection. The both of them placed top 10 in the world in their age groups for bull riding at the Junior National Finals Rodeo in Montana.
The oldest brother, Dylan, is the #3 bull rider in the world in his age division, 16-18. Dylan went into the weekend as the top bull rider, he even topped his scored Thursday with an 85.5 point ride. He made it through the weekend but lost in the final round, placing him third, according to Buckrail.
The younger brother, Derek, finished seventh in his age division, 14-15. Derek started the competition with a 68.5 point ride, which put him in fifth place. He got a 71 on Saturday, putting him in third. Then Monday, he got bucked out of the finals.
One more young man that also represented Wyoming was Eian Smith out of Pinedale, Wyoming. He had a tie for second in the junior bareback.
