The Wyoming Department of Transportation will begin construction on Interstate 80 around Cooper Cove and the Albany/Carbon county line on May 1.

The construction will be take place between mile marker 275 and 282, according to a WYDOT press release.

Crews will be rehabilitating the bridges in the eastbound as well as the westbound lanes this season. The westbound lanes will also be paved, however the eastbound lanes will not be paved until next year.

Drivers should take the project into consideration when planning to travel and pay attention to lane closures and reduced speed limits in work areas.

Croell, Inc. of Sundance is the general contractor for the $7.6 million project.
