When it comes to giving, Wyoming is an extremely generous state.

In fact, Wyoming ranks in the top 5 for "most charitable states" according to WalletHub.com.

The Equality State gets 4th place overall, only trailing Utah, Maryland, and Minnesota. One of the largest reasons Wyoming ranks at the top was the category of percentage of donated income, in which we rank first. Wyoming ranks sixth overall in volunteer hours per capita and seventh in charities per capita.

Neighbors South Dakota ranks 8th, Colorado is 26th, and Montana is 42nd. The state with the least amount of charity according to the study was Hawaii.
