The risk of severe weather started in northern Albany County earlier Tuesday, as evidenced by a video sent in from a listener/reader in Rock River.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne (NWS) didn’t confirm this was a tornado and no warning was issued, but Rick Stricklin of Rock River took this video and sent it to us at 12:43 p.m. Tuesday. He also got the picture above of the hail that came with the storm.

What followed was a “Significant Weather Advisory” was issued by the NWS at 12:51 p.m. That was followed by a couple of tornado warnings for east central Albany County, where at least one listener/reader, Kristy Kerker, captured an image of a funnel cloud.

Keep an eye on the sky if you have any further outdoor activities the rest of Tuesday afternoon and through the evening. The National Weather Service says scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Wednesday, but severe weather is not expected.

Thank you to Rick and Kristy for contributing to this article.
