Cheyenne motorists who use the intersection of Snyder Avenue and West 19th Street will have to find an alternative route starting Thursday.

The intersection will be closed from Thursday through Monday for asphalt paving work, weather permitting.

The work is part of the Phase II 19th Street Reconstruction Project, which stretches from Pioneer Avenue to Crow Creek.

The $5.4 million project, which includes new water and sewer lines; curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement; and extensive stormwater and drainage work, is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Funding for the project comes from the 5th Penny Tax and the Board of Public Utilities.
