Just Small Moves in the New WyoPreps Softball Rankings
For the third consecutive week, all five teams in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll are from the same conference.
The top and bottom of the rankings are the same as a week ago, but the middle shuffled again.
Thunder Basin is atop the poll for the third straight week. The Bolts are off to a 9-0 start and are 3-0 in conference games. They received 11 of the 16 first-place votes.
Campbell County and Cheyenne Central each climbed one spot in the rankings. The Camels moved to second and earned four first-place votes. They are also undefeated in conference games.
The Indians have risen to third after they fell two spots in last week’s poll. Cheyenne Central got one first-place vote.
Laramie suffered their first two losses of the season last Saturday. They fell from second to fourth.
Cheyenne East did not play last week, but the Thunderbirds held onto the No. 5 spot.
This weekend, fourth-ranked Laramie is on the road to top-ranked Thunder Basin and No. 2 Campbell County. Another game with two ranked teams is on Thursday between Central and East.
