Laramie Brewery Wins Another Gold Medal At 2019 Great American Beer Festival
For the second consecutive year, Laramie's Altitude Chophouse and Brewery struck gold at the Great American Beer Festival.
Altitude Banquet won a gold medal for the best light lager at the annual "Super Bowl of Beer" in Denver this weekend. Their latest medal marks back-to-back wins at the Great American Beer Festival; their Banquet beer also took gold in 2018. In 2016, Altitude Tumblewheat won the gold medal for the best American-style wheat beer.
Altitude was one of three Wyoming breweries to win a GABF medal this year. Jackson's Snake River Brewing Company took the gold in the international style dark lager category with their Dark Horse beer. The Black Tooth Brewery from Sheridan also won a bronze medal in the English style mild ale category for their Saddle Bronc Brown.
Along with Altitude, Black Tooth and Snake River, several other Wyoming brewers competed at the festival, including Jackson's Melvin Brewing and Roadhouse Brewing Company, Saratoga's Snowy Mountain Brewery, and the Thermopolis-based One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company.
