Another big brewing competition has come and gone and proved what we all knew, Wyoming is home to some of the best craft beer in the country.

For the second consecutive year, Laramie's Altitude Chophouse and Brewery won a gold medal for the best light lager at the annual "Super Bowl of Beer" in Denver this weekend.

On the bright side, beer is relatively cheap in Wyoming, which ranked 20th for the average cost of a 12 oz. beer at bars and liquor stores.

The 2018 Great American Beer Festival kicks off tomorrow and many of Wyoming's best breweries will be going for the gold at the "Super Bowl of Beer".
