UPDATE: I-80 Reopens After Closure Due to Winter Conditions
9:12 A.M. UPDATE:
Interstate 80 is now open.
A black ice advisory is in effect for the 18-mile stretch between the I-25/I-80 interchange and Wyoming 217.
Winter conditions have forced the closure of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.
As of 4 a.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation estimated it would take crews seven to nine hours to get the stretch back open.
A no unnecessary travel advisory is also in effect on Interstate 25 between Glendo and Glenrock.
Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or go to wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closure information.
