The smoke you may have smelled in southeast Wyoming this morning is from blazes burning in Arizona and Colorado as well as a grass fire west of Cheyenne.
Due to prescribed burns that have been planned for this week, your trip along I-80 from Cheyenne to Laramie and vice versa will see some 'very visible' smoke. This, according to the United States Forest Service.
The Wyoming Department of Health recommends that the elderly, young children and people with respiratory problems avoid excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor activities.
