The question is not what age, but is there an age when trick or treating should stop? 50 percent of the Wyoming residents who responded to that poll say NO. And that is our clear winner. Maybe that’s why we never got an answer for what age. A majority don’t believe there is an age to stop.

In early October this year Bathhurst, New Brunswick made a local law for Halloween. They decreed that age 16 is the last year for trick or treating. 17 is too old there.

Here is the break down on how almost 500 Wyomingites answered:

Why should it ever stop? ……………………………………………49.53 Percent

I don't know, but anyone past 20 better be in a killer costume. ...19.91 Percent

I say 17. Call me silly, but I don't care ……………………………. 12.09 Percent

16 may actually be the right age. ………………………………….. 3.79 Percent

15 is close to too old, but not quite. ……………………………….. 2.61 Percent

14 is still young. ……………………………………………………… 2.12 Percent

13 is that first good teen year to be into other things. ………....... 7.11 Percent

(Hmmm)

I'm a hard-liner. 12 should be the last year to trick-or-treat. ……. 2.84 Percent
