If ‘American Idol’ winner Scotty McCreery keeps this pace up, he’ll be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl before long. On the day the 18-year-old performed the National Anthem to kick off the World Series, it was announced he’d be performing at the 2011 CMA Awards in Nashville next month.

The last time they scheduled a show in Indiana, Sugarland made headlines for all the wrong reasons, suffering a horrific stage collapse that claimed the lives of seven concertgoers and injured more than 40 others. At the time, they promised they’d be back to perform a free show — and now they’re making good on that promise by adding a new show.

Word out of Indianapolis is that Sugarland will be performing a free concert on Friday, October 28th.  While the concert is going to be free to the public, donations will be encrouraged to help defray expenses for those tragically killed or injured when the stage collapsed just before their Indiana State Fair concert some 11 weeks ago.

I know, you're probably flabbergasted by the fact that Taylor is on this list. (sarcasm).  Anyway, those fine folks a Forbes have released their  list of the Top 10 highest-earning women in the entertainment industry.  And believe or not, Taylor is NOT number one

If their fans have anything to say about it, Sugarland will be featured performers during Super Bowl XLVI in February.  They've even started a Facebook page for fans to organize.

Okay, so here is the timeline as near as I can find out.  On November 9th, the Country Music Association Awards will take place.  The very next day, taping will begin for the holiday presentation.

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have officially announced that they are planning a private memorial in Indiana to honor the fans who died in the collapse of a massive stage at their show at the Indiana State Fair.

Five people lost their lives.  Dozens were injured, and as with any tragedy, the quiestion has to be "How could this have happened?".  There will be tragedies always.  They will be inexplicable and completely unexpected.

Who doesn’t love when their favorite singers cover a popular ’80s song? Last week, country duo Sugarland and singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles performed ‘Come On Eileen,’ as part of their show at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Bareilles is currently touring with Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, who make up the bubbly country duo.

She's the very, very successful lead singer for one on the hottest country acts today, SUGARLAND.  And Jennifer Nettles is just plain proud of that fact.  But, she's always willing to turn the spice up and team with artists outside the genre.
