Back when I was much younger I used to race dirt bikes almost every weekend.  In fact, I remember one of the practice techniques I used to use to improve my cornering skills was to do a figure eight around two 55 gallon drums on flat ground.  Wait a second... 

Hmm... if you think about it, that sounds mighty similar to what barrel racers do in the arena on horse back.  But I wonder who could do it quicker - a guy on a motorcycle or a barrel racer on a horse?
