A report of a bear sighting in Loveland prompted the securing of perimeters of three schools today. Bill Reed Middle School, Garfield Elementary and Truscott Elementary schools locked all of the outer doors as a precaution.

This marks the third lockout this school year that involves bears. The school year started last week. Other schools included Big Thompson Elementary on August 19, Laurene Edmondson and Centennial Elementary on Monday, August 26.
