Cheyenne Man Threatens His Wife and Her Boyfriend With Gun
A Cheyenne man is behind bars after threatening to kill his estranged wife and her boyfriend with a gun.
Officer Dan Long with the Cheyenne Police Department says officers were called to 6526 Hitching Post Lane around 7:15 a.m. on August 25 after receiving a report that a woman's estranged husband was trying to get into her house where her and her boyfriend and kids were.
"40-year-old Roy Henrickson walked into the bedroom of the house where he found his estranged wife with her boyfriend," said Long. "Henrickson actually punched the boyfriend in the face."
Long says Henrickson's wife, Taryan, was able to get him out of the bedroom, but Henrickson once again entered the bedroom.
"The boyfriend was able to get ahold of a gun and pointed the weapon at him in self-defense," said Long. "Henrickson left the bedroom, got a gun of his own and then came back into the house and threatened to kill everyone in the house."
Long says Henrickson was arrested and charged with domestic violence, simple assault and multiple counts of aggravated assault.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday morning in Laramie County Circuit Court.
