This Saturday the lower west parking lot at Ivinson Memorial Hospital will be filled with some of the best BBQ in the west for the IMH Foundation Griller's Cup BBQ Cook Off. Awards will be given for People's Choice for Best BBQ, Best Dessert and Best Side Dish. The 100% certified KCBS judges will decide the five placing awards for beef, chicken, pork, brisket and a Special Sauce Award.

The public gets to start its tasting at noon. To sample the food you'll need BBQ Bucks, which are $1 each and sold in $10 increments at the event. There will be kids activities including face painting, temporary tattoos, sidewalk drawing and bubbles. Plus, I'll be live on Y95 Country from noon-2 p.m.

Teams are coming from Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Montana, New Mexico and Florida to compete, so you know it's going to be some top notch cooking!

The cook-off benefits the IMH Foundation's Sandy Joy Healthcare Education Scholarship. The scholarship ensures there are funds available to help IMH's staff continue their education and maintain a high quality of quality of care at IMH.
