Josh Allen Isn’t Wyoming’s Only 2018 NFL Draft Prospect
Josh Allen might not be the only University of Wyoming selected in this year's NFL Draft. While Allen is will likely be a first-round pick, a few of his former Pokes teammates could get drafted in the later rounds.
Ryan Cummings is projected as a 6th or 7th round selection. Scouts love the size of the 6'5', 309 lb. tackle. Cummings may also benefit from the success of former Wyoming lineman Chase Roulier, who finished last season in the starting lineup for the Washington Redskins after being drafted in the 6th round.
Cornerback Rico Gafford may squeeze into the late rounds. Fullback Drew Van Maanen and long snapper Kolton Donovan could also hear their name called on the final day of the draft. Cornerback Robert Priester will likely earn an invitation to training camp as an undrafted free agent.
Over the years, 82 former Wyoming Cowboys have been selected in the draft. Two former Pokes were drafted last year; Roullier and running back Brian Hill. Eddie Yarbrough, Tanner Gentry and Jacob Hollister also made NFL rosters as undrafted free agents.
