Wyoming senior Justin James received First Team All-Mountain West honors as voted on by the league’s media members Monday.

This is the second consecutive year James has earned a First Team accolade from media that cover the conference on a regular basis.

James led the Mountain West with an average of 21.8 points per game. He finished fifth in the conference at 8.6 rebounds a game and was fourth in assists per game at 4.4. James also added a league-high 1.5 steals per game.

The senior led the MW in field goals made with 220 this season and also topped the conference with 189 made free throws.

James has scored 675 points this season. He is fourth in school history with 2,030 career points, which ranks him fifth in the Mountain West. James is two points away from passing Marvelle Harris for fourth place on the conference list.

All-conference honors and awards voted on by the league’s head coaches will be released Tuesday.
