The man who was reported missing after he drove off by himself on Sunday has been found safe in Montana.

Robert Winters, 82, suffers from Alzheimer's and short-term memory loss. He was headed home to Port Angeles, Washington on Sunday with his wife Barbara, when the couple stopped in Wamsutter.

Winters drove off alone, and was reported missing.

Police officers in Missoula, Montana found Winters on Wednesday at a restaurant. He has been checked into a Missoula hotel, and his case has been referred to Montana's Adult Protection Services agency.
