Oxy Executive to Meet With University of Wyoming Students
An oil and gas executive will meet with Master of Business Administration Program students Friday, March 3, in the University of Wyoming College of Business.
Thomas Irwin, director of strategy for Oxy, an international oil and gas production and exploration company, will meet with students at 11 a.m. as part of the UW MBA Executive Speaker Series, according to a UW news release. Irwin will discuss his extensive financial industry experience and his current role with Oxy, based in the Houston, Texas, area.
Last week, UW MBA students met with Diane Shober, Wyoming Office of Tourism executive director.
Shober, a Gillette native, who has been with the tourism office the last 14 years, discussed how her office is the only statewide organization dedicated to growing the tourism economy in Wyoming.
“This was a very impressive group of students,” Shober said in a statement. “Some of the questions posed and ensuing discussion could have been with a group of my peers.”
UW MBA students recently met with UW College of Law graduate Brad McKim, the associate general counsel, Upstream at BP, London, since 2001.
