Four Wyoming Breweries Win Medals at 2016 Great American Beer Festival
Two Wyoming breweries struck gold, and another two won silver medals at the 35th Annual Great American Beer Festival this weekend in Denver.
Laramie's Altitude Chophouse and Brewery won the gold medal in the American Style Wheat Beer category for their Tumblewheat.
Altitude brewmaster Jesse Brown also competed in a Pro-Am competition, scoring a bronze medal for his Kolsch Experiment.
Jackson's Melvin Brewery claimed the gold in the Fresh or Wet Hop Ale category for their Mevlin IPA.
Sheridan's Black Tooth Brewing Company took silver in the English Style Mild Ale category for their Saddle Bronc Brown.
Kelly Alt from Jackson's Snake River Brewing Company also won a silver medal in the Kellerbier or Zwickelbier category.
Among the biggest displays at this year's "Super Bowl of Beer" was a log-cabin style booth representing Saratoga's Snowy Mountain Brewery, which included this popular photo backdrop.
Eleven Wyoming breweries competed at this year's festival, which featured nearly 4,000 beers from over 750 craft breweries across the country, including this place.
