UW Offers Free Rides + Football Tickets For High School Students
The University of Wyoming is going deep on Campus Pass Day this year, offering transportation to Laramie and free tickets for the Cowboys football game against Idaho on Saturday, September 14th to every high school student in the state.
Along with a chance to cheer on the Pokes, the Campus Pass event will include tours of the University and an introduction to the admissions process. The UW Western Thunder Marching Band will also be hosting high school marching bands from around the state, who will perform at halftime during the annual Wyoming Band Day celebration. UW will also welcome groups from several chapters of the Wyoming Boys and Girls Club.
The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a resource fair, followed by student orientation, lunch, campus tours, and several tailgating games, contests, and activities on Prexy’s Pasture leading up to the 3 p.m kickoff at War Memorial Stadium.
The Campus Pass Day offer is open to any student currently enrolled in the 9th - 12th grade in Wyoming. Each student will receive one general admission football ticket. Their chaperones and family members are also eligible for discounted tickets. UW is working with high school counselors to coordinate transportation for students. School administrators are urged to contact Amy Fenolia for more information at afenolia@uwyo.edu or 307-766-5126.
