Victim in Deadly Cheyenne Crash Identified
A woman who died last month after crashing her car into a tree in west Cheyenne has been identified.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the 3000 block of Carey Avenue.
According to a fatality crash summary from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Gail Brown was driving north when she veered off the roadway and struck a tree head-on.
"The driver of the vehicle informed officers that she wasn't feeling well before the crash and that she possibly fainted or blacked out," the narrative reads.
Brown was not wearing her seatbelt and suffered serious injuries to her chest.
She was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center where she passed away the following day surrounded by her loving family.
According to her obituary, Brown was an avid reader and crafter, and her family meant everything to her, her four cats included.
Brown is survived by her husband and four children. She was preceded in death by a daughter.
