Wyoming Football Signs 18 Players to Begin 2020 Recruiting Class [VIDEO]
Calling it ‘the best class since he’s been here’ at Wyoming, head football coach Craig Bohl unveiled the start to 2020 Cowboys’ recruiting class Wednesday.
The Pokes signed 18 high school players. There are eight on offense and 10 on defense. This class features players from eight states.
Bohl is very pleased with the start to this recruiting period but also feels there’s more work to be done.
Wyoming snagged the No. 1 prospect in the Cowboy State in Thunder Basin linebacker Caleb Driskill. He is slated to play at fullback for UW.
Five players hail from the state of Colorado, including safety Keshaun Taylor, a three-star recruit who was rated at 11th-best prospect in that state by 247sports.com. Four players will be coming to Laramie from California, three of which are offensive linemen. The other is quarterback Gavin Beerup. There are three players from Nebraska and two from Texas. The Cowboys are signed players from Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wisconsin.
The class breaks down with one QB, a running back, a fullback, and four offensive linemen. On defense, there are five defensive linemen, four in the secondary, and a linebacker.
According to 247sports.com, Wyoming had the third-rated recruiting class in the Mountain West. Ten of the Cowboys’ signees are three-star prospects.
