Wyoming High School Skiing is in Laramie and Pinedale
The skiing season for high school teams is in full swing with both downhill and cross country teams in competition on the same weekend for the first time.
Alpine Skiing
The 2020 season started with practice back in late November, but Friday and Saturday is the first high school competition. Laramie hosts its two-day invitational at Snowy Range Ski Area.
The downhill skiers will be competing on the backside of the resort, which is a change from previous years. Another switch for Alpine skiers is each weekend will feature slalom racing on one day and giant slalom the other day.
The Laramie Invitational will be contested on Sundance run with a slalom on Friday and giant slalom on Saturday. Both days of skiing start at 10 a.m.
Casper Kelly Walsh, Casper Natrona County, Cody, Jackson, and Pinedale will join the host school, Laramie, for action on the slopes.
