Tell 2020 to hit the bricks and Ring in 2021 at Cheyenne's annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and fireworks Thursday, December 31, 2020. As with many things over the last nine months, the NYE Ball Drop will be a bit different.
This year, the Ball Drop will be held at the Cheyenne Municipal Building (2101 O'Neil, next to the Civic Center). Organizers of the event, say that the event will be done in a socially-distanced way. If you want to come downtown and watch the ball drop and the fireworks, you're asked to park in the parking lots near the Cheyenne Municipal Building and watch from there.
The NYE Ball will be directly in front of the Municipal Building, but the fireworks can be seen all around the neighborhood. To see the show, please park at any of the parking lots around the neighborhood near 2101 O'Neil and watch the fireworks from your car. We are asking that you stay with your small groups to enjoy the show. - Visit Cheyenne
Organizers note that this year there will only be one fireworks show and no children's events.
