Cheyenne Police Gearing Up For Frontier Days
The Cheyenne Police Department will be out in full force for the 120th Daddy of 'em All.
Officer Dan Long says the ten-day celebration is typically the busiest time of the year for local law enforcement.
"We have a restriction on the officers that can actually take vacation or leave during that time," said Long. "That way we have enough officers on the street."
Long says extra officers will be patrolling Frontier Park as well as off-the-park events.
"During the evening hours we try to put most of our detectives up there to work along with some of our school resource officers," said Long. "We also are going to have officers down around the parade and the pancake breakfast."
Long says police will also be cracking down on underage drinking, including the use of plainclothes officers to catch violators.
