Four former Laramie Plainsmen football standouts are participating in the Wyoming Shrine Bowl All-Star football game Saturday in Casper.

Ben Kruzich and Jason Upton were chosen for the South roster when it was released in February. In the last few months, changes have been made for various reasons, and Laramie’s Brady Epler and Baxter Tuggle were added to the South roster.

All four of these recent Laramie High School graduates received Class 4A All-State honors for the 2018 season from the Wyoming Coaches Association.

This is the most players Laramie's had in the game since three played in 2002 and 2006. Five former Plainsmen were part of the Wyoming Shrine Bowl in 2001.

KOWB’s David Settle caught up with the players, in the video above, to ask them about playing in one last high school football game, plus what they’re looking forward to, where they want to play, and more.

These former Plainsmen will be part of a South Team coached by Aaron Makelky, who is the new head coach at Kelly Walsh High School after spending the past seven seasons as head coach of the Big Piney Punchers. That information is courtesy of www.wyoming-football.com.

Kick-off for the 46th Wyoming Shrine Bowl is Saturday at 2 p.m. from Cheney Alumni Field at Natrona County High School in Casper.
