A large tree near the intersection of 16th Street and Custer collapsed under the weight of heavy snow Tuesday morning, damaging at least two vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Custer was closed between 15th and 16th Streets after the tree fell. City of Laramie crews were reportedly due to clear the tree within an hour of the incident.

University of Wyoming student Rowan Fichtner's 2000 Dodge 1500 was one of the vehicles crushed by the tree that fell north to south across Custer.

Fichtner said he lives in White Hall and he parks his truck in the area because it is the closest parking available.

Fichtner said his insurance company said they would follow up with him regarding the damage to his pickup truck.
