Fort Collins Sex Offender And Former Delivery Driver Arrested For Sex Asault
A registered sex offender in Fort Collins has been arrested for sexual assault, stalking, and attempting to enter a home, according to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook Page.
According to the post the suspect, 21-year-old Cyrus Warren, was arrested after a Dominos Pizza store manager in Fort Collins called police after getting customer complaints about Warren on Feb. 7.
The post says an investigation revealed that Warren had delivered a pizza to the customer's home at Village Garden Apartments on December 6. The family's tween daughter answered the door for the delivery. On December 22, Warren again delivered a pizza to the same location.
This time the family's younger daughter answered the door. Warren allegedly asked the girl if her parents were home, and also hugged the girl and picked her up. Police say he also gave the girl a note with his contact information and offering to baby sit.
Warren allegedly returned to the home in regular clothes (not his pizza delviery uniform) on Feb. 7. According to the post:
"The family's younger daughter answered the door. Warren asked if her parents were home and asked if he could come inside to use the bathroom. The girl refused, then closed and locked the door. Warren knocked several more times. A short time later, the family’s tween daughter saw the door handle moving as if someone was trying to enter the home. The family contacted Domino’s about this concerning behavior and found out that Warren was no longer employed there as he'd quit months earlier."
Warren has been charged with felony stalking and trespassing charges in connection with those incidents. The sexaul assault charge stems rom a seperate incident involving an adult female acqaintence on December 23, 2021. In that incident, Warren is accused of taking the women to a secluded area and raping her. The woman had agreed to hang out with Warren, but instead of driving her to the agreed location he took her somewhere else where the assault happened. The victim escaped and contacted police.
Police say Warren started working as a delivery driver for Dominoes on Oct. 23, but had previously worked as a delivery man and had advertised as a baby sitter. According to the post:
“This suspect has shown a disturbing pattern of behavior, and we won't stop until every victim has the opportunity to seek justice,” said Assistant Chief Tim Doran, who leads the Criminal Investigation Division. “I am extremely grateful for the proactive and ongoing support of the Domino’s staff. Even though Warren no longer worked for them, they immediately reported the customer’s concerns to law enforcement and have continued working with us to ensure the safety of our community.”
Investigators are concerned that Warren may have been involved in other incidents, and are asking anyone with information on such incidents to come forward.
