Laramie Banks Collecting Donations for Wade’s Fire Victims
More than a week after a fire in Wade’s Mobile Manor in Laramie destroyed nine structures and displaced multiple local families, the community continues to provide help to the victims.
In a release, the Laramie ANB Bank said it is collecting monetary donations for the victims through this Friday, March 16. The bank will be delivering them to United Way of Albany County, in order to help them provide critical necessities such as shelter, food and other assistance.
For all the community donations collected, the Laramie ANB branch and its employees will match their donations up to $1,500.
“On behalf of all of our employees, we want to extend our thoughts to the victims of this disaster,” says Rebecca Miller, Community Bank President in a statement. “ANB Bank is committed to supporting local causes that may help to improve the quality of life for individuals and our community.”
Laramie residents who wish to donate can do so at ANB Bank during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their Laramie location at 3908 East Grand Ave.
UniWyo Federal Credit Union and Western States Bank are collecting donations for the fire victims as well. UniWyo FCU will be matching donations up to $1,500. UniWyo FCU is located on 2020 Grand Ave. Western States Bank is at 3430 Grand Ave.
United Way of Albany County and Interfaith Good Samaritan met last Tuesday, March 6 with a number of other community organizations to discuss how to organize aid for the fire victims. United Way and IGS are coordinating the aid to the families who were affected by the fire. Their goal is to raise $20,000 for the victims.
