Wanted Sex Offender Caught in Cheyenne
A California sex offender who's been on the run for over three-and-a-half years has been caught in Cheyenne.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant David Wagener says troopers were called to the Flying J around 6 p.m. Monday after receiving a tip that 62-year-old Rocky Griffin was in the Cheyenne area.
Griffin was located and arrested on a warrant out of Sacramento, California for parole violation and failing to register as a sex offender.
Wagener says Griffin had apparently been using 14 different aliases. He had recently been living on the streets and staying with different people in Casper who were unaware that he was a wanted fugitive.
