The weather has impacted the Laramie High School midweek soccer schedule with changes in venue, date, and time.

The first announcement came Tuesday from Laramie High School Athletics and Activities Director Ron Wagner. Due to the weather, the Laramie girls’ soccer match at No. 2 Cheyenne Central has been moved to Thursday, May 2. The start times of 4 p.m. for JV and 6 p.m. for varsity remain the same.

That same announcement also stated the boys’ match between the Plainsmen and the Indians would be played on Wednesday, May 1, but the location would depend on field conditions.

Earlier today (Wednesday), the decision was made to hold the boys’ match at the University of Wyoming’s Indoor Practice Facility (IPF). Times have been adjusted to a 3 p.m. JV start with shortened halves to 30 minutes. The varsity match is now set for 4:30 p.m.

It’s also Senior Day for 12 seniors involved in the Laramie Plainsmen soccer program. They will be honored about 6:15 p.m. after the varsity match has concluded.

The good news is the weather forecast looks positive for Friday’s matches against Cheyenne East.
